Slim Thug is a rapper from Houston, TX that came up on the scene during the Texas Chopped and Screwed phenomenon, that had the top artists from the label Swishahouse getting booked for shows all across Texas. Texas promoters couldn’t wait to book Slim Thug for their shows, as he was a local celebrity within the state and would soon be everywhere else. He got his start on the mixtape “Swish House 98” from the popular label under the same name.
