Frequently Asked
Questions

What is BBE Booking Agency?
We are an online booking agency for contracting artists and celebrities for concerts, private parties, and corporate events worldwide. We offer turn key solutions for you event including contracting talent and handling hotels, transportation, flights, and event marketing.
What do I need to have in place before I make contact with an agent for the acquisition of an artist?
With the exception of private events (corporate), you will need to have the budget already set-up for your event, venue reserved, and a date.
Where can I find artist booking prices?
Artist prices are not published. When you want to secure an artist, you have to make an offer. Even though, you do not want to be too high or too low, you need to base your offer on your budget. We have exact prices for many artists, and for other artists we use historical data along with data from their current activity (music sales, radio play, recent ticket prices, show attendance, etc). Some offers may include a flat fee which is the guarantee, in addition to a percentage of the NET profit.
How much do I have to pay the artist up front?
In order to lock in a date, you will need to make a full 50% deposit. The deposit typically goes straight to the artist management or representative, and not to us.
When do I have to pay the balance of the artist fee?
Unless you have a “Door Deal” where the artist tour manager has control over the box office, the remaining balance will be due on the day of the event when they arrive.
What other costs are involved in addition to the artists booking fee?
Other costs include travel and accommodation, which we can take care of if you purchase a travel buyout. Also, you must be able to honor their rider which varies per artist. You will be charged a 10% booking fee for each artist that you book as well.
What is “backline”?
Artists generally only bring certain equipment with them. At your expense, you would need to provide Back Line, which can consist of the drum set, keyboards, amplifiers, risers, special monitor equipment and other items listed on their “fly in” performance.
I want to book a major artist for the first time. How can I do this?
If you do not have a track record of promoting concerts, you will have to partner with a company that does.If you do not have a successful track record you will not be able to get any major artist, no matter what the artist is. This does not apply to private events. It is the agent’s responsibility to conduct due diligence to determine the feasibility of the gig. Professionalism is everything.
Is BBE Booking Agency an exclusive agency?
We are not an exclusive agency, we assist you in submitting your offer to the appropriate company for consideration. We are the Buyers Agent. We act on YOUR behalf for talent acquisition. When the offer comes from us on your behalf, you benefit from our experience and industry relationships. Also, we work with you in handling marketing, event production, and accommodations for the artist.
